Intended to form part of a larger work on prayer and contemplation, Raïssa Maritain's Notes on the Lord's Prayer was left unpublished at the time of her death. Her husband Jacques Maritain prepared her reflections for publication in 1962. The work is organized according to the seven petitions of the Lord's Prayer and draws upon Scripture and the Church's theological tradition to present the riches of this most essential Christian prayer.
